Dr. Anton James
Dentist
Dr. Anton James, originally from Trinidad & Tobago, knew since age 11 that he was going to be a dentist. Following that destiny, he graduated from the Dental School, University of Birmingham, England in 1979 with a BDS degree; and spent his first 10+ professional years as owner/dentist of a successful general practice in Trinidad.
Migrating to Vancouver in 1994, he challenged the Canadian National Dental Examination certification exams and passed in 1996. Since then, Dr. James has owned and developed a thriving general practice in Langley, BC, and recently handed over the reins to Dr. Ravi Chinnaswamy. Dr. James remains passionate about caring for his patients, whom, over the years have become like family. He remains an associate dentist under the now rebranded name ‘Maple Dental Clinic.
Within all general dental services, his interests mainly lie in minor oral surgical procedures, especially exodontia of wisdom teeth, and geriatric dental care for residents in long term care facilities throughout the Lower Mainland.
With his 42+ years of experience, and the wealth of knowledge that such time brings, he looks forward to contributing to the care of all patients. Each can be assured of the courteous, empathetic, and professional quality dental care he offers. He is attentive to his patients needs and means and strives to ensure that everyone has a positive and pleasant experience. He is humbled by and appreciative for the trust that patients place in him; and values that trust above all.
